Microsoft office 64 bit components 2013 keeps installing free download.Microsoft Office 2013 (64-bit)

To do this, follow these steps:. Just curious as to why you are using bit Office? Microsoft recommends the bit version for most installs due to add-in compatibility issues, even on bit systems.
Well, that’s the thing – we aren’t using 64 bit and specifically only installed 32 bit. I was told this didn’t matter. Also told it didn’t matter. Does it? Also, is there a way other than looking at Programs and Features to see if any of the MS Office components are 64 bit? In a nutshell, they are installed with other programs. I would not remove them. If the usual Help, About does not tell you if it is 64 bit or 32 bit, you could also look in your Program Files or Program Files x86 folders to see if the program is 32 or 64 bit.
Great info “idodge”, thanks! We are definitely running 32 bit. At this point we are thinking we will add the windows search service, get rid of the pop-ups, and find out how to get search to work in Contacts. Thanks for your input. Start Registry Editor. Thanks for your feedback. The problem is that Office keeps needing to install new files with some new stupid “feature” that doesn’t seem to work correctly when ever I start any Office product Word, Excel, Access Please make sure you’re still conected to the internet, or try connecting to a different network.
We’ll resume installation as soon as possible and you can keep working once we do. I am still connected to the internet and I’m not trying to install anything – I just want to use Word.
Is there a way to stop Office from updating before it will work? What Office program should I block in my firewall? It’s useless. I still get constant problems when I try to use Office. Usually when i try to open any Office document, an Excel file, a Word doc If you have it, return it – say you don’t agree with the EULA.
How do I get it to install and not try to re-install every time I need to use it. I had to print a resume the other day and got the error again. I had to use an old Word from Office which still works great so that I could print my Resume. F U, Microsoft. It will work for a little while, then it will make me wait to download before I can use it, then it will eventually stop working altogether, forcing me to uninstall and re-install over again.
I end using the Office that still works on my other computer. How is a user supposed to make Office work so it doesn’t have to constantly update itself and break? Is there a setting to keep it from updating? If this does not help then create new windows user account and then open office applications to see if they behave the same.. My problem isn’t just with Outlook – every Office program wants to re-install and download something on a regular basis.
Sometimes it will work for a week before having one of the install errors while other days it will be constant errors.
No real pattern that I can tell. My internet is more than fast enough. I think if there was a way to stop Office from trying to update everytime something is started, most of Microsoft’s OFFICE problems would go away. It’s not like I’m the only person with these constant issues that aren’t in any other program that I have. Yes, I tried bit using a new user account didn’t help. Office still wants to download and install cr p almost every time that I open a program or file that uses an Office program.
Is there something I can block in my Windows firewall to prevent Office from constatly downloading? I’m not sure how well the firewall works though – virtually every program seems to access the internet without a firewall exception.
Why is so hard to stop it from downloading from the internet? Office is like a bad virus. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Install, upgrade and activate Microsoft and Office Search Community member.
Is there a way to keep Office from having to re-install every time that I try to do something? Is there a way to keep it installed so this doesn;t happen every time I use it? I am currently getting an error that the installation is having a problem even though I have used it before. Background Installation ran into a problem.
Please make sre you’re still conected to the internet, or try connecting to a different network. It has an internet connection that is working – I don’t know what office’s Fu ing problem is.
It’s nothing but constant problems – I wish they would just go back to Office – where everything actually worked correctly. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
